20 Year Old Held In DUI/Manslaughter
The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Tarrence Jerrell Harrell, 20 years of age. Harrell is being charged with one count of Vehicular Manslaughter and one count of DUI Manslaughter.
The arrest was the result of a Traffic Homicide Investigation that began on October 22, 2011, at approximately 4:15 A. M when the Panama City Police Department was notified of a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred in the 700 block of Business Highway 98 near Martin Luther King Boulevard.
A 2004, Toyota automobile struck a utility pole, severely damaging the vehicle and sending all 4 occupants to the hospital.
One of those occupants was fatally injured and died due to her injuries. Traffic Homicide Investigators believe that Harrell was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash. Harrell was arrested on February 2, 2012 at approximately 5:00 P. M. without incident.
